SAN BERNARDINO—While the Diocesan Awards Reception and Mass was not held in May this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the annual honors have been bestowed. The awards are being given to parishioners in their home parish in a manner determined by the pastor.
Here is a list of the 2020 recipients in each of the three award categories.
The Our Lady of Guadalupe Award
Presented to individuals from the parish or members of the civic community who have demonstrated exemplary generosity, leadership and/or service beyond the scope of the parish for the common good of the diocesan or local civil communities.

The St. John Paul II Youth Award

This young person carries the spirit of St. John Paul II of building bridges among people and inspiring others to create peace and harmony.
