SAN BERNARDINO— Individuals from throughout the Diocese were recognized for their service to the Church and community at the Annual Diocesan Awards Mass held on May 20 at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral. Honorees were awarded the St. Bernardine Award, Our Lady of Guadalupe Award and the St. John Paul II Youth Award. at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral in San Bernardino.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Award

 The Our Lady of Guadalupe Award is presented to individuals from the parish or members of the civic community who have demonstrated exemplary generosity, leadership and/or service beyond the scope of the parish for the common good of the diocesan or local civil communities. This year’s recipients were:

St. Bernardine Award

 The St. Bernardine Award is given to church employees (parish or diocesan) with at least 10 consecutive years of employment service, and who has significantly impacted the fulfillment of the vision and mission the local church through exemplary

and generous service. This year’s recipients were:

St. John Paul II Youth Award

< The St. John Paul II Youth Award the St. John Paul II Youth Award is presented in recognition, support, and encouragement to a young Catholic person from 16 to 20 years old who actively demonstrates a deep commitment, responsibility, and outstanding voluntary service. This young person carries St. John Paul II’s spirit of building bridges among people and inspiring others to create peace and harmony. This year’s recipients were:
