Seminarian formation; ministry to young people in our Diocese; pastoral care to the sick and suffering among us – all these ministries and more are funded by the Diocesan Development Fund (DDF), which is now accepting donations for the 2023 Annual Appeal. The theme this year is “Be the Light of Hope.”

“The 2023 DDF Annual Appeal (Be the Light of Hope) serves as a beacon of light to our brothers and sisters in the Diocese,” said Bishop Alberto Rojas in a statement.

“I hope that you will prayerfully consider supporting this year’s DDF Annual Appeal. By your gift, you help to shine light to the world and glorify our heavenly Father. Thank you so much in advance for your gift of any amount and the many ways you serve the Church. May God bless you!” Bishop Rojas added.

The appeal will provide funding to Catholic Charities, the Seminarian Education Fund, ongoing education for priests, the Priests Relief Fund, hospital chaplains, the Office of Ministry with Young Catholics and Campus Ministry.

The announcement weekend, where the DDF Appeal is announced in all parishes, will be March 4-5, but donations are being accepted now as well. You can visit https://osvhub.com/ddf/giving/funds to make an online donation. Alternatively, you can call the Office of Mission Advancement at (909) 475-5460 to donate over the phone or mail your donation to DDF Annual Appeal, P.O. Box 11029, San Bernardino, CA 92423 (make checks payable to the Diocese of San Bernardino). Thank you in advance for your generosity!
