At the end of April, the Diocese of San Bernardino launched its new website redesign, sbdcatholics.org

As soon as you visit the new website, you will notice the refreshed and updated design, with a newly integrated video that depicts the diocese “Walking Together.”

Then, as you scroll down, you receive the latest news and events of what is happening in the diocese to keep you up-to-date and connected with the whole community.

You’ll also notice the new media logo of the Eucharist inside a Monstrance and the words “SBD Catholics.” This represents how “We are rooted in ongoing encounter with Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.” This media logo does not replace the diocesan coat of arms; it is a new brand for media and communications products.

The new design is reflective of several intended improvements:

• An emphasis on visual elements that show the life of the local Church and its many faces and gifts.
• Easier and better access to information about parishes, Catholic schools and diocesan ministries. Our analytics tell us this is what a majority of visitors are seeking when they log on to the diocesan website.
• Better visibility and navigation on mobile devices.
• Enhanced search feature – A universal search bar makes it easier to find requested information throughout the site.
• Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant.
• A specific section announcing upcoming diocesan events.

The new design still includes easy and quick access to view all diocesan parishes, schools and ministries. In addition, the website continues to include easy access to the diocese’s full list of resources. And as always, a link to the Diocesan Office of Child and Youth Protection is readily available in the case of needing to report abuse.
