Two priests of the Diocese of San Bernardino, Father Tom Burdick and Father Howard Lincoln, have been conferred by Pope Francis with the Pontifical Honor of Chaplain of His Holiness. Fr. Burdick, pastor of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Winchester, and Fr. Lincoln, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Palm Desert, now carry the title of Monsignor.  Bishop Gerald Barnes, who requested the pontifical honor for the two priests, publicly announced it at the Diocesan Awards Ceremony on May 18.
