CORONA—St. Edward School in Corona honored the four winners of their annual Patriotic Essay Contest on May 20. For the contest, which was sponsored by the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus, students were asked what the words “In God We Trust” meant to them and whether they agreed or disagreed with the elimination of any references to God in our public discourse.
The winners were Dancia Wheeler (1st place), Owen Vaughan (2nd place), Hibah Ather (3rd place) and Camila Lopez (4th place/honorable mention), and each winner was awarded a cash prize.
