Please join us at the fifth annual OneLife LA Walk for Life, January 19, 2019 as tens of thousands of Christians celebrate the beauty of every human life from conception to natural death. This year’s theme is “5 Years Together as One.”
The theme reflects five years of collectively walking and praying for the protection of all that have no voice but ours. As Bishop Gerald Barnes states: “We must use our prayers, our service to life and our actions and be the Light of Christ.”
On January 19 we will demonstrate our unity with the mystical body of Christ where no one is a stranger, and show the world a vision where all are “Chosen, Cherished and Sent.” OneLife LA is an opportunity to demonstrate that we are people of faith and of reason. We must challenge a poverty of mind that promotes personal freedom at the cost of another person’s freedom. Together we can be the face of God and go forth as His beacon of hope in our community.
The walk will begin at noon at La Placita/Olvera Street, (125 Paseo De La Plaza, Los Angeles) and end at the Los Angeles State Historic Park where there will be music, food and featured speakers. The program concludes at 5 p.m. with a beautiful Requiem Mass for the Unborn at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
Let this Christmas season be one that amplifies Christ’s message of peace, justice and love.
