Every year during the Easter season, children, youth and adults gather to receive the Sacraments of initiation within the Christian community. Sacraments are instruments of grace; Sacraments are very important for the life of the Church and are prophetic symbols of the Kingdom of God, celebrated by the Church.
These are moments of grace through which the faithful are integrated progressively into the Church. The Sacraments help Christians fulfill their mission as disciples of Jesus and in living a Christian life.
One of those sacraments is the Sacrament of Confirmation. In the Diocese of San Bernardino, youth who enter their 16th birthday and adults are confirmed by the Bishop or his representative. Confirmation completes the Sacraments of Initiation. In this Sacrament, we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit to strengthen us in our faith and our missionary zeal for discipleship.
