Every year, gracious donors attend the annual Bishop’s Dinner to help support the seminarian program of the diocese. This year, the 24th Annual Bishop’s Dinner took place on May 24 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Desert. The theme was the “Roaring 20s” and many attendees donned derby hats and flapper style dresses to get in the spirit. Bishop Alberto Rojas also presented the prestigious Amar Es Entregarse Award to Ken Sawa, recently retired CEO of Catholic Charities San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, and Catholic Extension Society, with Father Jack Wall, President, accepting the award. The evening, filled with gratitude, joy and even karaoke singing by Bishop Rojas, proved to be another successful fundraiser for the seminarians in formation for the priesthood. Thanks to all who joined in for this special evening!
