In April, faithful Catholics came together for two beautiful fundraisers to help support vocations in the diocese. On April 11, supporters gathered with Bishop Rojas, seminarians, and priests at the 4th Annual Bishop’s Tea Time and celebrated the theme, “Around the World.” The Bishop’s Tea Time is becoming a special fundraising tradition where people from all across our diocese and beyond come together to share tea, share stories, and support our seminarians and vocations. This year, over 11 parishes participated, and the room was packed with love. On April 10, supporters gathered for the first Diocesan Vietnamese Community Fundraiser for vocations, called “Planting Seeds, Growing Shepherds” at St. George Parish in Ontario. Over 750 people attended from around our diocese, Florida, New York, Orange County, and Los Angeles. One of the biggest highlights was new seminarian Joseph Hong An, a known professional Catholic Vietnamese singer, performing a few songs and all other seminarians performed a song in Vietnamese. Both events were a beautiful display of community and support for our seminarians and vocations.
