On Sept. 5, Guadalupano leaders gathered at the Diocesan Pastoral Center for an all-day retreat that included three different sessions and topics. Bishop Alberto Rojas took time to visit the retreat and share a few words of encouragement and gratitude. The first session was a historical reflection on Flor y Canto (Flower and Song) in Motion: Matachines tradition and the Evangelization of Culture. The second session topic was Mary of Tepeyac: Encountering God Through Culture, History, and “Juan Diego” as an Act of Faith.” The last session was From Conflict to Communion: Cultivating Unity, Discipleship, and Healthy Relationships in Parish Ministry. Near the end of the day, there was a faith-based dramatic presentation of Our Lady, Mother of Life. To close out the retreat, the Guadalupano leaders shared final reflections connecting the themes of the day, expressed gratitude, and overviewed the group’s next steps.
