Three priests called to Eternal Rest

Father Juan Garcia, formerly Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Riverside and Spiritual Director at St. Junipero Serra House of Formation in Grand Terrace, was called to Eternal Rest on March 28. He was a member of the Diocesan Laborer Priests from Spain. Fr. Garcia served at Our Lady of Perpetual Help from 2006-2008 and subsequently spent eight years (2009-2017) at Serra House. We also ask for your prayers for the eternal repose of the souls of Father David Geib, OP and Father David Faruggia, OP, both of whom served in the past at St. Andrew Newman Center at the University of California, Riverside. Fr. Geib, a Dominican friar of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, died peacefully from complications of Alzheimer’s disease on March 10 in Oakland, CA. Fr. Farrugia, a Dominican friar of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, died peacefully in his sleep on April 1 in Benicia, CA, one day shy of his 65th anniversary of ordination as a Roman Catholic priest.
