Bishop Alberto Rojas will lead hundreds through the streets of San Bernardino January 14 in a Eucharistic Procession that will allow local Catholics to publicly witness their devotion to the Holy Eucharist.

The procession will take place in the vicinity of Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, beginning at the church at 2 p.m. (attendees are asked to arrive and gather at 1:30 p.m.) and traveling surrounding streets before returning to Holy Rosary. Bishop Rojas will celebrate a bilingual Mass immediately following the procession. It will serve as an unofficial kickoff of the diocesan observance of the national Eucharistic Revival, a national movement designed to refocus the faithful on the primacy of the Eucharistic in Catholic life.

“What a blessed way for us to begin 2023 as a Diocesan community,” wrote Bishop Rojas in a message to the parishes of the diocese inviting them to participate in the procession. “I hope to see you there!”

Catholic parishes and apostolic and ethnic groups are being encouraged to send representatives, but the procession is open to all who would like to join it. The route is approximately 1.4 miles and follows the streets Arrowhead Avenue, Mtn. View Avenue and 29th Street. Four prayer stops will be located along the route, including the homes of two different families who belong to Our Lady of the Rosary, and the parish school, Holy Rosary Academy.
