SAN BERNARDINO—When Maria Jose Garcia first started working in the diocesan Ministry with Youth Office she quickly became aware of the need for outreach to Hispanic young adults.
With the help of Catholic Extension, Garcia is leading a new diocesan ministry to do just that.

SAN JOSE—A few weeks ago I attended a week long conference in San Jose with the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC) where our Bishop Gerald Barnes was the keynote speaker. I was honored to participate and be a part of this conference. It was an awesome experience being with diocesan directors from across the country.

BEAUMONT—Representatives from Morongo, Santa Rosa and other tribes in the diocese joined parishioners from Banning and Beaumont in celebrating the canonization of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the parish’s namesake with a Mass and reception on Nov. 3.
SAN BERNARDINO—Are you interested in starting an ESL class in your parish? The diocese has received 200 sets of books and CD’s for the Maestro en Casa program through the MATT Foundation (Mexicans and Americans Thinking Together).
