From the Diocesan Office with Young Catholics
Summer 2018 is right around the corner and we are calling all young people to fill their lives with hope and action, to have the ultimate spiritual glow up. Beginning with Y-CAST (Young Catholics Actively Serving Today), a leadership training offered for youth ages 14-17. Y-CAST is a hardcore, intensive boot camp for the leadership spirit.
RIVERSIDE—In March and April, thousands of students, on hundreds of teams from over 30 states participated in Code Rush, CodeMonkey’s national coding competition.
For the second consecutive year, a team of seventh and eighth grade students from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Riverside represented their school and entered the competition.

SAN BERNARDINO—Ever see a kid in church more interested in his cell phone than the Mass? Did you shake your head in disgust? You wouldn’t be alone, but is there a better way to react?
SAN BERNARDINO—Holy Rosary Academy and Preschool students are proud caretakers of our environment and the earth. Beginning in preschool and continuing through eighth grade, students learn the importance of taking care of their main home, the planet. From reducing the use of paper on campus, reusing everyday items, to recycling cans and bottles, students become responsible caretakers of the earth.
INDIO—Everyday pieces of garbage are now works of art that parents can proudly display on their mantels, thanks to a Recycled Art Show for students at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (OLPH) in Indio.
SAN BERNARDINO—The heritage of San Bernardino’s Catholic schools was celebrated for the second time at the 2018 Guardian Angel Gala, held on April 21 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School.
