Two Tongan communities of Riverside and Upland joyfully united to celebrate Mass on July 6 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Church in Riverside, with Bishop Alberto Rojas presiding. OLPH pastor, Father Benjamin Alforque, M.S.C., and two esteemed Tongan M.S.C. priests, Father Saia and Father Semisi, concelebrated the liturgy. Following the Mass, Bishop Rojas engaged in an inspiring Q&A session with the Tongan youth, fostering a candid dialogue. The celebration culminated in a vibrant sharing of Tongan cuisine, complemented by a heartfelt recounting of the rich history of the Tongan communities within the diocese.
