On Feb. 4, Bishop Alberto Rojas celebrated the annual Celebration of Consecrated Life and Jubilees Mass at the Diocesan Pastoral Center. Those who gathered for the Mass, which was concelebrated by Bishop Emeritus Gerald Barnes and several religious priests, prayed for all those who have made commitments in consecrated life and thanked them on their special day. Jubilarians celebrating a milestone anniversary of their vows and promises of consecrated life were also honored and recognized by Bishop Rojas and Sister Mary Frances Coleman, RSM, Director of the Diocesan Office for Consecrated Life. The day began with a talk led by Sister Barbara Mullen, CSJ, from the Archdiocese of Hartford, Connecticut, entitled “Mission our Ministry.” The annual diocesan gathering is held in solidarity with World Day for Consecrated Life, which is universally celebrated on Feb. 2.
