ROAD TO THE DIACONATE 12 men were installed as candidates for the permanent diaconate at the Rite of Candidacy on Nov. 4. Previously, they were considered “aspirants” in the diaconate formation program, and now have three years of study remaining before they can be ordained as Permanent Deacons. The names of the twelve men and their wives are: Juan & Edith Arreola, Hector & Juana Avila, Max & Rosa Barillas, Martin & Maria Correa, Claudio & Rosalba Dominguez, Ramon & Evelia Duran, Carlos & Imelda Montes de Oca, David & Chioma Okonkwo, Victor & Maria Ortega, German & Carmen Samayoa Gonzalez, Joseph & Mercy Valencia and Gerardo & Maria Vargas.
