Blessed Oscar Romero Parish became official on November 29 when it celebrated its first Mass. Father Patrick Kirsch, Pastor, was joined by Father Rafael Partida, Episcopal Vicar for the Riverside Pastoral Regional, who concelebrated.

Held at Jurupa Valley High School, the 7:30 am Mass attracted less than 50 people, the 9 a.m. Mass brought about 150 people and the 11 am Mass brought about 100 people, Fr. Kirsch said. The Eastvale parish does not have a church building at its Chandler Street property and will offer Mass at Jurupa Valley High School until it raises the money to build a worship space.
