On Feb. 22, The University of Mary Chapel Choir from Bismarck, North Dakota performed during two morning Masses at Sacred Heart Church in Palm Desert. The choir, called “Cappella,” directed by Dr. Rebecca Raber, filled the church with beautiful voices in harmony. Cappella is part of the Saint John Paul II Center for University Ministry, Catholic hub on campus. Cappella has a particular mission and ministry, deep in the very heart of Catholic liturgy. Cappella are inspired by the University Ministry patron, St. John Paul II, who, in his Letter to Artists, urged artists to craft music, beauty — as a gift to the world.
