Riverside parish helps prep for Archbishop Sheen beatification

The Rosary makers from St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Riverside helped to answer a nationwide call from the Pontifical Mission Society in a special effort to support the upcoming beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.  The Pontifical Mission Society asked Rosary making groups to create 75,000 of Bishop Sheen’s World Mission Peace Rosaries, to be gifted to all those who attend the Beatification Mass in St. Louis, MO on September 24. The prolific Rosary makers at St. Thomas, a group of 19 people, sprung into action and made 5,400 Rosaries for the occasion. “Our group makes 1,500 to 2,500 rosaries every month, so we were easily able to take on part of this project,” says member Carolyn Ulrich.
