San Bernardino pastor leads invocation for City Council meeting

In a powerful witness of faithful citizenship and civic participation, Father Francisco J. Varela Delgadillo, C.O.R.C., pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in San Bernardino, led the invocation for the San Bernardino City Council Meeting on September 16. After providing the invocation, Fr. Francisco gifted a blessed Our Lady of Guadalupe medal to San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran. “We pray that you send them wisdom, divine science, understanding, prudence, strength, and perseverance so that they may lead this beautiful city always for the good of all,” Fr. Francisco prayed. “We ask you to protect this body of government, to assist them in every decision and moment of their life. Bless their family and all the families of our city… Saint Bernardine of Siena, patron saint of this city, pray for this city, and may Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit bless them. Amen.”
