This event was a great lead-in to the Second Annual College Fair where 60 colleges and universities were present and over 400 students and their parents were in attendance. During the event, special guest speaker Julian Jenkins, of the National Collegiate Scouting Association, gave two workshops to student athletes and their parents about recruiting, playing college sports, and the admissions/recruiting process. Jenkins stressed to the students the importance of being a SCHOLAR athlete and how maintaining excellent grades would help them get recruited, be successful in college, and would open the doorways to opportunity. In attendance were over 100 local public, private, and parochial school students who were able to be a part of such a great event.
