Under the direction of Mrs. Maria Aguilera, the Folklorico group provided enjoyable dancing through traditional Mexican music. The group featured eight children ages 5-7, four boys and four girls, which was only a pinch of the total number of Ballet Folklorico dancers. The children performed two traditional dances from the state of Jalisco, Mexico: La Botella and Guadalajara. All in attendance were in awe of the talent of the young dancers. The end of the evening drew to a close, but not until the dancers received their dessert that was promised to them for doing such an amazing performance.

“They made the St. Hyacinth community and the City of San Jacinto proud,”wrote Mayor Kotyuk in a letter of thanks Principal Ladonna Lambert.
