The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary (Court #257 Riverside/San Bernardino) 

The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary (Court #257 Riverside/San Bernardino) has established the St. Martin de Porres Annual Scholarship, open to students attending a Catholic high school in the Diocese of San Bernardino.

The scholarship has been established to provide partial financial support to assist students and families with the cost of books, uniforms, and other supplies. African American students who attend Catholic high schools in the Diocese of San Bernardino are strongly encouraged to apply.

Students must be enrolled at Aquinas High School, San Bernardino; Notre Dame High School, Riverside; Xavier College Preparatory High School, Palm Desert; or St. Jeanne De Lestonnac High School, Temecula. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or better.

The Knights of Peter Claver, founded in Mobile, Alabama in 1909, is the largest African American Catholic lay organization in the United States. The organization was founded by the Josephites (St. Joseph’s Society of the Sacred Heart), a Catholic order whose mission was to serve African Americans Catholics.

Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary (Court #257 Riverside/San Bernardino) was established in 1984, with a mission of supporting the Catholic church and providing service to the community.
