The Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. It’s a chance for the girls to show their leadership skills and prove they are organized, determined and dedicated to improving their community.

“These girls have compassion for those less fortunate than themselves and they want to help make life better for others,” says Troop Leader Ellen Way.

The sustainable garden will help CVRM use less water, generate less waste and help the Mission make better use of the resources and space previously used to grow plants.

CVRM is a place of refuge for the homeless and needy in the Coachella Valley.

A dedicated staff and volunteers serve more than 80,000 hot meals annually and provide shelter to thousands of men, women and children.

Food, clothing, and showers are also provided for those who do not shelter there.
