For the second year in a row, former NFL great Mike McCoy brought his message of “decisions determine our destiny” to Catholic schools in the diocese in a series of talks he offered during Catholic Schools Week Jan. 28-Feb. 1.

BANNING—Tatyana Williams-Peace of Banning attended the Presidential Inaugural Conference in Washington, D.C. Jan. 19-23. The Presidential Inaugural Conference is an educational event held in Washington, D.C. every four years for middle school, high school and college students.
PALM SPRINGS—The K- Kids and Builders’ Clubs of St. Theresa School recently held their Fourth Annual “Sing for Their Supper” Karaoke Night. Students in grades K-8 had the opportunity to sing a favorite song solo, as a duo, or in a small group. They performed in the school gym before an audience of their parents and grandparents.
SAN JACINTO—This year, St. Hyacinth Academy was one of ten schools participating in the Up and Atom Competition. The theme was AIR, and the task was to create the most efficient paintball dart to hit a bull’s eye 10 meters away. This competition is designed for eighth graders to show off their building talents. But, because St. Hyacinth is a smaller school in comparison to the others, sixth and seventh graders were invited to participate as well.
