Sacred Heart Academy third graders held their own conclave to learn about the ancient process to elect the pope.

REDLANDS—Here at Sacred Heart Academy the third grade class wanted to learn more about the conclave and the election of a pope. To do this they had their own conclave. This is how it went:
BANNING—Tatyana Williams-Peace of Banning attended the Presidential Inaugural Conference in Washington, D.C. Jan. 19-23. The Presidential Inaugural Conference is an educational event held in Washington, D.C. every four years for middle school, high school and college students.
PALM SPRINGS—The K- Kids and Builders’ Clubs of St. Theresa School recently held their Fourth Annual “Sing for Their Supper” Karaoke Night. Students in grades K-8 had the opportunity to sing a favorite song solo, as a duo, or in a small group. They performed in the school gym before an audience of their parents and grandparents.
SAN JACINTO—St. Anthony parish, San Jacinto, hosted its Sixth Annual Fast-A-Thon service project, where 42 youth participated in a 30-hour fast to raise awareness of the problems of poverty and homelessness.
For the second year in a row, former NFL great Mike McCoy brought his message of “decisions determine our destiny” to Catholic schools in the diocese in a series of talks he offered during Catholic Schools Week Jan. 28-Feb. 1.
NEEDLES—In January when St. Ann Parish Legion of Mary Praesidium gave its annual report, the parish was informed that it is the only parish in the San Bernardino/Riverside Comitium to have an active Junior Legion of Mary.
