 Leadership and staff from all 92 parishes in the Diocese of San Bernardino came together at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Church in Yucaipa on Feb. 11 for the annual Combined Vicariate Meeting.

 In recognition of the current Extraordinary Jubilee Year, it was a day of reflection on Mercy and how it can be lived each day in all aspects of parish ministry.

An opportunity to put Faith in Action during the Jubilee Holy Year of Mercy 

 Catholic Charities is encouraged by Pope Francis’ Jubilee Holy Year of Mercy because Catholic Charities’ spectrum of service is all about mercy. For over 35 years staff, volunteers, and community partners at Catholic Charities have served as a light of mercy in our local communities.

 The dream of providing medical care to the poor in San Bernardino came true last Fall when Lestonnac Free Clinic finally opened the doors to its San Bernardino facility. 

 The idea arose when Lestonnac Director Edward Gerber would travel to San Bernardino to attend committee meetings at the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
