Rialto Mayor Deborah Robertson was recognized for her pursuit of economic development and clean water for the residents of the city. She also leads the successful State of the Women Conference every year during Women’s History Month. 

 Sister Chilee Okoko, D.M.M.M., received the Leadership and Service Award for her dedication to health, education and justice.

 “This afternoon tea introduced our organization to the broader community and allowed us to recognize dynamic women in our community during Women’s History Month,” said Clarise Bronson, president of Court #257.

 St. Martin de Porres Court #257 is the local cell of the Knights of Peter Claver, headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana and draws its membership from parishes across the Diocese of San Bernardino. Its program of work includes support of Catholic Charities and Option House in San Bernardino and Path of Light in Riverside as well as the American Cancer Society. The Court partners with Diocesan Catholics of African Descent (CAD) to offer scholarships to students enrolled in the three Catholic high schools in the Diocese.
