In addition to a traditional silent auction, our Gifts for Others is an opportunity for guests to directly impact families by designating their contributions toward an ongoing and specific need within our local communities.

Guests can make contributions toward items which include diapers, groceries for a struggling family, laundry detergent, critical prescription assistance, meal delivery for homebound seniors, new shoes for children, and many more. Small items like these may seem insignificant, but the proceeds from Gifts for Others greatly impact the daily lives of poor families.

The traditional Paddles for Scholars live auction offers guests a unique way to help support local students enrolled in local colleges and universities studying social work, counseling, or other helping professions, so they may carry on the work and spirit of Catholic Charities in the years to come.

Each year, Catholic Charities honors two individuals from the community that exemplify its motto, Providing Help, Creating Hope. The 2013 honorees are Edward Gerber, Executive Director of Lestonnac Free Clinic, and Patricia L. Nickols-Butler, CEO of Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County.

Their extraordinary work in our local communities will be recognized at the event with a personalized piece of artwork commissioned by local artist Michael Bernbaum of Riverside.

Please consider supporting the “Evening of Hope” Benefit Gala by purchasing seats or placing an ad in the event program. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
