The Diocese held two Rite of Election ceremonies to welcome future Catholics on Sat. March 4th and Sun. March 5th. Bishop Gerald Barnes presided at the ceremonies at Queen of Angels, Riverside, and at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, Yucaipa. Both groups had about 170 Catechumens who were joined by their sponsors, families, coordinators, and community. Parishes throughout the Diocese also celebrated the Rite of Election for children during weekend liturgies. .
