SAN BERNARDINO—The Diocese of San Bernardino will hold its Seventh Annual Migration Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, 2525 N. Arrowhead, San Bernardino on Sunday, January 20 at 3 pm. 

 This year marks the Tenth anniversary of the joint U.S. and Mexican Bishops’ pastoral, “Strangers No Longer: Together on the Journey of Hope.” This pastoral letter forms the basis of our bishops’ stance on comprehensive immigration reform. YUCAIPA—On Saturday, January 19 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church in Yucaipa the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of San Bernardino will be honored in a Mass in Thanksgiving for the Gift of Life.  The Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools, principals, teachers, students and parents will be acknowledged for their crucial contributions to advancing Respect for Human Life through formation and acts of charity. INDIO—College entrance requirements and financial aid are often two big question marks for parents and students who aspire to go to college.

 The Diocesan Education Initiative (DEI), in collaboration with Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish in Indio, will hold a workshop on January 18 to address those topics and others related to preparing for college attendance.

SAN BERNARDINO—The Diocesan Office of Restorative Justice is offering a two-day training to help parishes be able to better assist families that have had a loved one murdered. Pastoral Associates, parish bereavement volunteers, youth and young adult ministers, spiritual directors, deacons/deacon candidates and their wives, and others interested are encouraged to attend the training. Training will be held at the Diocesan Pastoral Center and offered in English and Spanish.

SAN BERNARDINO—Hilda Cruz knows firsthand the hopes and fears of immigrants, having lived the experience, herself. 

 On Dec. 3, Cruz began to put her experience into practice as the new coordinator of the diocesan Justice for Immigrants Campaign. She says she is eager to bring a fresh perspective.
