In addition to marking the beginning of the academic year for Catholic schools in the Diocese, the Opening Schools Mass also serves as an occasion to honor long serving Catholic school employees. Those who have served 25 years or longer receive a commemorative pin. This year’s honorees were:

Linda Camping, St. Hyacinth Academy – 25 years

Jeanette Morrow, St. Thomas the Apostle School – 25 years
