OLPH installed basketball courts in January but did not have enough funds to acquire a drinking fountain for the courts. As a grant recipient of RAP, the school will now have a hydration station (drinking fountain) which will include refrigerated water and a dispenser for water bottles. The amount of the award is $4,000 and will pay for the equipment as well as installation.

The school is using the “Rethink Your Drink” as a springboard to encourage students to eat healthy and drink more water. OLPH will unveil the new hydration station in a couple of weeks, along with receiving water bottles for the school community, and a presentation by RAP on the importance of not drinking sugary beverages.

Thank you to the Regional Access Project Foundation for reaching out to the community of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and to teacher Raphael Dreisbach for his collaboration and persistence in acquiring this grant.
