He married Hortencia on August 3, 1954 and was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate by Bishop Phillip Straling on October 5, 1985.
Deacon Ybarra was assigned to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, Riverside until he was granted the status of Retired Deacon in 2006.
He was preceeded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hortencia, who passed away in 2017.
Deacon Ybarra’s Mass of Resurrection was celebrated on January 29 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, Riverside followed by burial was at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside.
