Deacon Michael Cruz, 63, was called to his eternal rest on May 8 at his home in Riverside.

 He was born in Los Angeles on May 24, 1954 and was ordained a Permanent Deacon by Bishop Gerald Barnes on Nov. 6, 2010 and served at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Riverside.
