Fr. Charles Devine, 83, a retired priest of the Diocese, was called to his eternal rest on Ash Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at his home in Hemet.

   Born on December 7,1935 in Los Angeles to Edward and Jane Devine, he was baptized soon after at St. Raphael Church, Los Angeles.

   He attended elementary school from 1942-50 at St. Anselm, Los Angeles, high school from 1950-51 at Los Angeles College and 1951-54 at Junipero Serra, Gardena.

   Discerning a call to priesthood, Fr. Devine joined Lady Queen of Angels Seminary, Los Angeles (1954-55), St. Mary's College, Moraga (1956-59) and graduated with a BA from Immaculate Heart Seminary, San Diego (1960-65).

   Deacon Gerald "Jerry" Campbell, 87, was called to his eternal rest on Feb. 10.

   Deacon Campbell was born on Nov. 12, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois and was married to Agnes on Jan. 26, 1955.

 Monsignor John Ryan and Father Patricio Guillen, two longtime priests of the Diocese known for their work in parish ministry, social justice and care for the sick and dying,

 Deacon Ralph Vicente Partida, 79, was called to his eternal rest on January 12, 2019.

 Born on October 17, 1939, he was baptized on January 14, 1940 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Chino.

 Deacon Rudy Rangel Ybarra, 88, was called to his eternal rest on January 10, 2019.

 Born on April 7, 1930, he was baptized on June 8, 1930 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, Riverside.

 Rev. Edward Cardoza, 87, was called to his eternal rest on November 25 in Riverside.

 Born March 21, 1931 in Berkeley to Joseph and Mary (Azevedo) Cardoza, he was baptized April 12, 1931 in St. Ambrose Church, Berkeley
