Society of the Divine Word celebrates 150th Foundational Jubilee Mass

On Sept. 6, The United States Western Province of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) celebrated its 150th Foundational Jubilee with a Mass at Queen of Angels Church in Riverside with Bishop Alberto Rojas as chief celebrant. The diocese is home to many SVD priests, including Father Duong Nguyen, who serves on the Western Province’s Provincial Council as an Admonitor, and the following priests who serve the province as district superiors: Father Beni Leu, Father Trung Mai, Father Fransiskus Santoso, Father Roberto Flores, Father Deebar Yonas, and Father Pavol Sochulak. The Divine Word Missionaries are holding a year-long founding anniversary celebration with the theme “Witnessing to the Light: From Everywhere For Everyone.” Congratulations to all the SVD priests ministering in our diocese!
