Angeles, Curtis ordained to the Transitional Diaconate

LEFT: Bishop Alberto Rojas (center) ordained Luis Angeles (left) and Larry Curtis (right) as transitional deacons on Dec. 20 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church in Yucaipa. During the Ordination, Angeles and Curtis lay prostrate while the Litany of the Saints was sung, asking for the intercession of the saints. Bishop Rojas performed the Laying on of Hands to Angeles and Curtis in which the grace of the Sacrament of Holy Orders is both requested and conferred by the power of the Holy Spirit acting in the Church.
