RANCHO CUCAMONGA—More than 500 catechists from parishes within the Riverside and West End Vicariates attended the annual Catechist Day held this year at Sacred Heart Parish, Rancho Cucamonga on Aug. 15.

When Virginia Soto found out Pope Francis would be visiting the United States for the 8th World Meeting of Families and the Diocese of San Bernardino was organizing a pilgrimage, she knew she had to take part.
Not only would the World Meeting of Families be an interesting event to attend, the chance of seeing a third pope in her lifetime was an opportunity she could not pass up.
