SAN BERNARDINO—The Catholics of African Descent ministry of the Diocese of San Bernardino, in conjunction with other local partners, is sponsoring a Juneteenth Celebration on June 20. The celebration of culture and history for the African American and African communities will be held at Anne E. Sherrill’s Park, 1376 N. California St. San Bernardino, CA 92411, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
SAN BERNARDINO—With great joy, the Diocese of San Bernardino held its first Pastoral Juvenil Young Adult Ministry Conference on May 2, drawing over 100 participants.
COLTON—It is not customary to greet the burial of 1,100 people in a cemetery as good news but in assessing the first ten years of Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery it can be seen as a sign that there is, indeed, a strong desire among local Catholics to be buried in consecrated ground.
SAN BERNARDINO–In a few short weeks, Johnny Dang and Tyler Tripp will enter Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral in San Bernardino to be ordained priests of the Diocese of San Bernardino. As May 29 nears, both are eager to complete their formal studies and begin their priestly ministry.
This year about 5,500 youth will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at parishes throughout the Diocese.
