On April 28, the parish community of St. Oscar Romero in Eastvale celebrated the opening of two new buildings on parish’s property, an important milestone in its exciting master plan to eventually build a parish ministry center, a Catholic school and a church. Father Tomas Guillen, pastor, was joined by Bishop Alberto Rojas, Bishop Emeritus Gerald Barnes and many local civic and business leaders for the ceremonial ribbon cutting and blessing of the new parish office buildings. The first phase of the capital campaign will be to build the ministry center, where weekend Masses will be held until the church is built. Construction on the ministry center is expected to begin in 2029.
