PERRIS—It’s been at least 25 years in the making but St. James Parish is finally building a new church just east of Perris city limits.

 A ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony took place on March 11 and initial grading work at the Dunlap Drive property began in April. In a year, the parish hopes to be worshipping in its spacious new 1,500 seat church.

CHINO—Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Chino has been forced to temporarily close its church building after it was discovered that several trusses that support the roof have failed.

RIVERSIDE—Thousands of rosaries made by a creative group of dedicated volunteers from several parishes in the Diocese have made their way to many people around the globe. 

 St. Jude’s Wire Benders, as they call themselves, gather in a little cottage in Riverside every Wednesday to carry out this ministry of faith and artistry.
