Following successful accreditation visits in March, Holy Rosary Academy in San Bernardino and St. George School in Ontario were granted full six-year accreditation status through Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This is an important recognition of their commitment to continuous school improvement, high-quality student learning, and the integration of faith within their school communities. “This achievement reflects the tremendous dedication and hard work of each school throughout an extensive two-year preparation process leading up to the three-day visit,” said Christine Hanna, Associate Director of Academic Excellence for the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools. “Their efforts provided clear evidence of the strength and quality of their school programs while showcasing the very best of their communities.” WCEA is a private educational accrediting agency established under the California Bishops with the mission of promoting quality Catholic education for students in elementary and secondary schools through an accrediting process that assures the primacy of faith formation and educational excellence. WASC, a 501(c)(3) organization, is recognized as one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.
