The Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools has announced the 2026-27 Bishop’s Scholarship recipients. They are [left to right] Ailani Lopez from St. George School, Ontario, Viktoria Romero from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Indio, Issabela Brambila from St. Edward School, Corona, and Giana Alves from St. Jeanne De Lestonnac School, Temecula. By earning the Bishop’s Scholarship, these eighth graders will receive a four-year (renewable) scholarship to go towards tuition costs at local Catholic high schools. Lopez will be attending Aquinas High School, San Bernardino; Brambila will be attending Notre Dame High School, Riverside; Alves will be attending St. Jeanne de Lestonnac High School, Temecula; and Romero will be attending Xavier College Preparatory High School, Palm Desert. These four Catholic students have demonstrated hard work, dedication, faith, and commitment to academic excellence. Applicants are asked to describe and discuss their commitment to God, faith. education, family, community and volunteerism and explain why they wish to attend the particular high school they have chosen.
