PERRIS—It’s been at least 25 years in the making but St. James Parish is finally building a new church just east of Perris city limits.
A ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony took place on March 11 and initial grading work at the Dunlap Drive property began in April. In a year, the parish hopes to be worshipping in its spacious new 1,500 seat church.
RIVERSIDE—After more than 45 years of leadership at St. Andrew’s Newman Center Parish in Riverside the Dominican Friars Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus announced that they will be leaving the Diocese of San Bernardino.

RIALTO—Bishop Gerald Barnes has entrusted the pastoral care of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Rialto to The Society of the Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) – Western Province, a religious order with an extensive track record of parish leadership in the Diocese.
RIVERSIDE—Thousands of rosaries made by a creative group of dedicated volunteers from several parishes in the Diocese have made their way to many people around the globe.
